TypeQuest teaches touch typing in 10 units and 49 short lessons. Kids start on the home row with F and J and build, lesson by lesson, to capitals, punctuation, numbers, symbols, and real sentences at a steady, growing speed. Parents like that it teaches proper finger placement from day one — and shows no ads. Best with a computer keyboard; phones and tablets can practise with the on-screen keyboard. What kids learn

How it works

Each lesson starts with a one-screen card that shows its new keys and which finger presses each one. Then kids type one line at a time while an on-screen keyboard highlights the next key and the right Shift to use. Correct keys light up green, mistakes flash red, and words-per-minute counts active typing time, so a break never costs a star. Finishing a lesson earns 1 to 3 stars, and boss lessons raise the speed and accuracy targets.

Kids can play without signing in; guest stars stay until you reload or close the page. A grown-up signs in once and adds a player for each kid, so TypeQuest's stars and progress save to your account and follow you to any device.
