Vertex: free interactive geometry you can actually play with
Vertex makes geometry hands-on across 14 interactive games. Kids spin angles, hunt lines of symmetry, plot coordinates, and work with area, volume, and the Pythagorean theorem — building intuition by doing, not just watching. It's free, with no ads and no tracking of your kids.
What kids learn
- Classifying, estimating, and calculating angles with the key angle rules
- Identifying polygons and their interior and exterior angle sums
- Symmetry and rigid transformations: translation, rotation, and reflection
- Plotting and reading points across all four quadrants of the coordinate plane
- Measurement: perimeter, area, circle formulas, volume, and surface area
- Advanced reasoning: the Pythagorean theorem, similar triangles, and 3D nets
How it works
Each topic is its own interactive mini-game — spin a ray, draw shapes on a grid, plot points, or drag a transformation onto a target. Games are tagged Beginner, Intermediate, or Advanced, and kids pick what to play from a hub. Each one awards stars as skills click into place.
A grown-up signs in once and adds a player for each kid, so Vertex's stars and progress save to your account and follow you to any device.
